- Self-Realization Fellowship:
Park on nearby street. (See: Parking page) Our first station is opposite the site of the Kaiser Permanente AIDS unit. there will be brief prayers and music. We proceed on foot to: - Sunset/Vermont Metro Station: In the fast-paced style of life in our times, we remember how quickly HIV and AIDS overtook our community. There will be brief readings, prayer and music as we proceed on foot to:
- Triangle Park at Prospect and Vermont: So many thousands who struggled against AIDS were rejected by our whole society out of fear and homophobia. This little park is a fitting reminder of our search for solace and shelter in a spinning world which too often failed to brake for compassion, understanding and mercy. With prayer and song, we proceed on foot to:
- Hollywood Lutheran Church Front Terrace: During the worst of the AIDS Pandemic, churches were far from innocent in the role they played in bigotry and prejudice. Yet we pause to give thanks for their core message of love, reconciliation and understanding. Here we remember "The body of Christ has AIDS." With incense and the call to Vespers, we begin our World AIDS Hollywood remembrance.
